American Zettler, Inc. Forms Joint Venture
with Hella and Hongfa

Aliso Viejo, California - American Zettler, Inc. announces the formation of a Joint Venture with Xiamen Hongfa Electroacoustic Co., Ltd. of Xiamen, Fujian Province, People’s Republic of China and Hella KG Hueck & Co. of Lippstadt, Germany for the production of plug-in automotive relays at Hongfa’s facilities in Xiamen. Production is scheduled to begin in 2004.

In joining forces with Hongfa and Hella, Zettler brings it’s superior performance in both engineering and marketing services together with Hongfa’s established quality production in China, and Hella’s special expertise in automotive relay technology.

American Zettler, Inc.’s 125 year background in relay design and manufacturing, combined with a long term involvement in Asia, has resulted in Hongfa Xiamen evolving into the premier Chinese relay manufacturer. With a focus on quality and the benefit of lower production costs, this combination is proving beneficial to a growing number of automotive OEM’s. Adding this strong support to Hella’s global automotive presence is the next step in better serving the automotive supply chain.
